As a vital partner to our newsrooms, you will ensure financial discipline and provide financial insights. This role supports the creation of Australia's best journalism by managing and controlling Editorial expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic finance partner, providing clear, actionable financial insights.
- Manage and control Editorial expenses with a focus on staff and content-related costs.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for all Editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
- Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting with a degree and/or CA/CPA qualification.
- Proven business partnering skills including building trust and translating financial concepts for non-finance teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in core financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
