Role Overview

This position is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of nursing in an environment that blends leadership, mentorship and clinical expertise. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to drive excellence in clinical education, training and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of targeted development programs that empower staff and elevate patient care.
  • Work closely with Nursing Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse and Midwife Educators to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification.
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.

The Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
