Education and Development Professional

Clinical Nurse Educators play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing by developing targeted development programs that empower staff and elevate patient care.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of development programs addressing the learning needs of staff and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

This individual will collaborate closely with Nursing Unit Managers and other educators to drive excellence in clinical education, training, and support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering targeted development programs for nurses and midwives
  • Collaborating with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and preceptorship to new staff members

Requirements
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education
