**Clinical Nurse Educator Role Description**
This role involves working as a Clinical Nurse Educator in our dynamic Inpatient Unit. The unit delivers care across a broad spectrum, including medical, surgical, palliative, chronic and complex conditions, as well as aged care.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to join our team. The successful candidate will have a relevant clinical/education post registration qualification and recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
Key Responsibilities:
- To design, deliver and evaluate targeted development programs that empower staff and elevate patient care.
- To collaborate closely with the Nursing Unit Manager and a dedicated team of Clinical Nurse and Midwife Educators to drive excellence in clinical education, training and support.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification.
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
