Baptcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Maintenance Officer to join our team at St Hilary's Community in Morwell, VIC. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the community's assets are well-maintained, and a secure and safe environment is provided for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Assist in keeping the preventative maintenance schedule up to date, and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Local Repairs: Ensure local repairs are attended to promptly, and review the use of external contractors as required.
- Site Meetings and Training: Attend site meetings and mandatory staff training as directed by the Site Manager.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with internal and external customers, including residents, families, contractors, and visitors, in a compassionate and helpful manner that reflects Baptcare's Mission and Vision statement.
- Confidentiality and Dignity: Maintain strict confidentiality and dignity in all dealings with residents and staff.
- Experience: Relevant experience in facility maintenance service delivery.
- Qualifications: Trade certificate or other relevant building/trade qualifications (preferred, but not essential).
- Test and Tag Qualification: Test and Tag qualification (preferred, but not essential).
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills in Office Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of MSDS, WHS, and current driver's license.
- Heavy Vehicle Licence: Current Heavy Vehicle Licence (preferred, but not essential).
