Asset Management Specialist

As an Asset Strategy Officer at Latrobe City Council, you will play a key role in supporting the Coordinator Asset Planning in the ongoing management of Council's Asset Management strategies and systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of asset data in Council's Asset Management Information System.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining asset management processes to optimize Council's infrastructure.
- Updating asset registers, incorporating capital works and developer gifted assets, to facilitate annual asset valuations.
- Resource, maintaining, and enhancing Council's pavement management system, preparing forward programs for road and kerb renewal, re-sealing, and re-sheeting.
- Assessing, preparing, and updating asset inventories, implementing condition assessments, identifying financial modelling, and planning asset revaluations.
- Participating in the Asset Planning Team to establish and implement asset management strategies and systems for Council's infrastructure.
You Will Need
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management and/or related disciplines such as Engineering or substantial experience/knowledge in Asset Management Information Systems.
- Some experience in and knowledge of Civil Engineering practice, particularly road construction and maintenance.
- Excellent understanding and demonstrated application of Asset Management principles.
- Substantial knowledge/experience in Pavement Management Systems.
- Experience and understanding of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, and related Microsoft Office Suite of products.
