About the Role

As a Nurse Unit Manager at CALHN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care within our Health Unit/Community Service. You will leverage your clinical expertise and leadership skills to coordinate and manage the delivery of care, ensuring a seamless experience for every patient. Your role will involve leading a dedicated nursing/midwifery and multi-disciplinary team, fostering an environment where collaboration thrives and patient outcomes are prioritised.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of nursing/midwifery and multi-disciplinary staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintaining high standards of care and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and healthcare standards.
About You

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Unit Manager who embodies the following key qualities:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a current practising certificate.
  • At least 3 years' post-registration experience in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and a track record of enhancing workplace culture.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, healthcare standards, and contemporary nursing practices.
