About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality nursing and midwifery services across various health service settings. Building on your experience and further studies, you will transition from a competent to a proficient practitioner, providing essential support to the Nurse Unit Manager in leading and mentoring your colleagues. Your accountability for your own practice standards and for guiding less experienced staff will contribute to a cohesive and skilled nursing team dedicated to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced nurses to enhance their skills and knowledge.
