Job Title: Hazardous Site Remediation Specialist
About the RoleContaminated lands pose a significant threat to environmental health and human well-being. As a specialist in hazardous site remediation, you will be responsible for overseeing projects related to contaminated land remediation.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in contaminated land and remediation technologies, as well as industry project experience in this field. They will also possess excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving project goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering contaminated land services in accordance with client expectations and project timelines;
- Providing input into the assessment and management of technical aspects, human, and environmental impacts of ongoing contaminated land sites;
- Scoping and designing contaminated land and groundwater investigations;
- Preparing and reviewing proposals, reports, and management plans within given timeframes;
- Supporting the business leader with monitoring and reporting on business unit performance;
Additionally, the successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field. They should also possess relevant registration and professional accreditations, such as CEnvP (if required). The candidate must be committed to self-improvement and continuing professional development, with a drive and passion to solve problems and produce innovative solutions.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge in contaminated land and remediation technologies;
- Industry project experience in contaminated land remediation;
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills;
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field;
- Relevant registration and professional accreditations (if required).
