Chef Role in Aged Care Facility

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our team in an aged care facility in Melbourne. As a vital member of our kitchen team, you will play a key role in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve appetising, nutritious meals tailored to residents' needs.
  • Engage with residents to learn their preferences and create meals that brighten their day.
  • Contribute to menu planning in line with dietary guidelines for older adults.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Manage special diets and texture-modified meals with care and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver high-quality service.
  • Monitor food costs and support cost-effective catering solutions.

Your Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Current NDIS Check or Willingness to Obtain.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine love of cooking for others.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hospitality or Aged Care catering experience (highly regarded).
  • Understanding of resident rights and aged care standards.
  • Valid working rights in Australia – mandatory.
