Casual Chef Role

We are seeking a Casual Chef to prepare nourishing meals for our young explorers at Explorers Early Learning centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fresh and nutritious meals on-site, in line with our seasonal menu.
  • Accommodate allergies and intolerances with tasty alternatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly workspace.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards.
  • Demonstrate strong time-management and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, ensuring positive interactions with children, families and centre team.

You Will Need:

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Food Handlers' or Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • Experience working in a childcare centre (preferred).
  • Experience preparing meals for children with allergies, including anaphylaxis, and other dietary requirements.
  • Australian working rights - Visa/Passport.
