Our Centre is seeking a motivated and skilled Kitchen Hand to assist our Chef in preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children and educators. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and demonstrate a passion for food safety and hygiene standards.

The role involves assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and building strong relationships with the centre community. The successful applicant will require a Food Handling certificate and a current Working with Children's Check or state equivalent.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge while supporting young children to grow and thrive. You will be working closely with our passionate team to ensure that each meal respects individual requirements regarding medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural considerations.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A Food Handling certificate
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards (desirable)
  • An awareness of your personal responsibilities under the current Child Protection Laws
  • Current Working with Children's Check or state equivalent
