Highly Skilled Cloud Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to drive the development and implementation of robust data solutions across cloud platforms.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead on-prem to cloud migration projects, design scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, and build ETL/ELT workflows using Azure and AWS services.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the migration of legacy systems to cloud platforms, including mapping SQL, SSIS/SSRS, and stored procedures.
- Design and implement data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows across Azure (ADF, Data Lake, Synapse) and AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda) to facilitate data integration and analysis.
- Implement best practices for data governance, quality, lineage, and security using Unity Catalog and medallion architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, trusted datasets for analytics, reporting, and API consumption.
- Support automation, CI/CD integration, and performance tuning of cloud data platforms.
- Document architecture, establish migration strategies, and communicate progress and ROI to stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java), strong Spark experience.
- Demonstrated delivery of Azure Databricks Lakehouse solutions at scale.
- Solid knowledge of AWS and Azure data services.
- Experience with data modelling, orchestration, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and architectural decisions clearly.
A strong passion for creating professional prototypes and dashboards is also required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex data engineering projects and a deep understanding of cloud-based data solutions.
