
Medical Records Officer

The Health Information Services department has a full-time opportunity for a role that involves scanning paper-based medical records into our Digital Medical Record System and responding to requests for health information from other health services.
Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external partners in person and over the phone is essential.
- Scanning paper-based patient medical records using the BOSSnet Digital Medical Record system
- Responding to record requests
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Responding to information requests in accordance with the department's release of information guidelines
- Collecting, scanning and re-directing mail
- Performing general department administration duties as required
This is a 'behind the scenes role' that is vital to keep our hospital running. It involves working independently and in a team environment, and having good attention to detail.
Good computer skills and excellent customer service skills are necessary for this role.
