Senior Legal Counsel

The role involves identifying new sales opportunities and providing consultative support by building value propositions for customers, managing customer contacts, and being the local point for relationship strategies, sales plans, proposal strategies, and contract negotiations.

You will work closely with operations management and sales teams to implement risk assessment and contract management policies, ensuring compliance with business practices, contract management guidelines, and code of conduct.

  • Bachelor's degree in law is required.
  • A current Australian Practicing certificate is essential.
  • Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience is necessary.
  • Experience in providing contractual and legal advice and support within a construction, engineering or technology industry gained within private practice or an in-house environment is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial and contract law is necessary.
  • Experience in disputes and litigation is beneficial.
  • Ability to negotiate with both internal and external customers and represent Honeywell's best interests without being adversarial is required.
  • Experience in dealing with tenders/RFPs and other procurement type documentation is advantageous.
  • Ability to integrate contractual/legal obligations with commercial/business needs is essential.
