Defence is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its external financial reporting and asset accounting functions.

The Role

As a Financial Analyst, you will be accountable for journal preparation and reconciliations, balance sheet management, asset accounting, and financial statement analysis.

You will also be responsible for understanding and implementing governance requirements and enabling compliance with the financial management framework. Additionally, you will liaise with stakeholders including auditors, business areas, procurement specialists, contractors, and members of the military.

About Our Functions

Our team is responsible for Defence's full financial reporting function and the financial accounting of its assets through their lifecycle. We provide policy advice, assurance, and conduct quality checks on financial accounting activities.

We rely on our team members' judgement to deliver professional advice and reporting around complex assets, business processes, procurements, and multi-year projects. Our expertise spans the financial accounting behind the largest asset base in the Commonwealth.

Your Opportunities
