Job Title: Finance Officer, Defence And Veterans' Service Commission

Job Description:

The finance officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the Defence and Veterans' Service Commission. Key responsibilities include setting internal budgets, monitoring expenditure, preparing financial statements, providing specialist financial advice, and coordinating financial input into corporate planning and performance reporting.

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Commonwealth financial management frameworks, experience in budgeting and forecasting, and proficiency in financial systems. They should also have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualification.
  • Demonstrated broad experience in public accounting practices, including internal budgeting, financial statements, taxation, and asset management.
