**Financial Services Role Overview**

The Finance Branch is seeking skilled professionals to fill key positions within the Financial Accounting team.

This financial services role involves providing expert guidance and support to business areas at Austrade.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and reviewing work performed by junior staff members, offering guidance as needed.
  • Developing and reviewing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducting regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Supporting the creation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Additional duties:

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial advice and support.
  • Preparing and submitting financial reports, including supporting documentation, to senior management and external bodies.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • Possession of or completed CPA/CA certification.
