About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Bendigo. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with physical disabilities, including manual handling and PEG feeding
  • Build rapport and establish trust with clients, their families, and care teams
  • Work collaboratively with professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Drive clients' vehicles and provide transportation as needed
  • Work varied shifts, including sleepovers and in-home evening support
Requirements
  • Good judgement and common sense, with excellent listening skills and a willingness to learn
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including manual handling
  • Full driver's licence and willingness to drive clients' vehicles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
