Established construction companies with over 40 years of experience are seeking Health and Safety Managers to join their teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a management role. They should hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and be familiar with industry standards.

Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and providing monthly safety reports to senior leadership. The successful candidate will also work closely with site managers and the quality team to deliver safe builds. They will conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate HSE performance and develop corrective actions.

  • Manage and oversee all safety operations ensuring compliance with site and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments sharing advice or insights with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses developing preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to determine best practices for HSE.
  • Visit sites and liaise with site managers and project teams.
  • Undertake regular site audits and inspections to assess HSE performance.
  • Manage injuries through the WorkCover process and develop return-to-work plans.
  • Liaise with third parties as required.
  • Keep track of required training and certifications.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in a health and safety position ideally in a management role.

  • Proven ability to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Strong attention to detail for investigations and root cause analysis.
