Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Investigate incidents and develop recommendations to prevent reoccurrence

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent experience)
  • Certificate IV in OHS (minimum)
  • In-depth knowledge of construction risks and hazards
  • Strong legislative interpretation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing abilities
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your workload
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management-system tools
