Compassionate Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Compassionate Care Assistant.

As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing essential care services to our residents, supporting them to live their best lives. You will build strong relationships with our residents, families, and colleagues, contributing to the optimisation of resident choice.

  • Providing mobility assistance, such as walking with a resident or propelling their wheelchair
  • Assisting with meal delivery and removal of dishes/meal trays
  • Supervising residents in a memory support unit
  • Stocking individual continence bags for residents
  • Applying moisturizing skin creams
  • Assisting residents with glasses, hearing aids, and other devices
  • Cleaning resident rooms and laundry duties
  • Providing emotional support to residents and assisting their families/visitors
  • Assisting residents to attend activities and pursue interests

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
  • Have unlimited working rights in Australia
  • Have hospitality or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy
  • (Desirable but not essential) Understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
