Senior Claims Specialist

KPMG's Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice is seeking an experienced claims manager who is passionate about helping insurers, schemes, and employers deliver better claims outcomes and an improved customer experience.
We help personal injury insurers and schemes, life insurers, general insurers, self-insurers, and employers navigate complex business issues, drive change, and implement solutions that enhance performance.
Your OpportunityIn this crucial role, you will be instrumental in crafting innovative processes, tools, and strategies to elevate the effectiveness and efficiency of claims management. Our programs of work include Claims Transformation, Claims Managed Services, Claims Remediation, and Claims Risk and Compliance, including internal audit.
We are excited to offer a rewarding 12- to 24-month max-term contract, during which you will take on significant responsibilities in shaping Insurance Claims & Workplace Health solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting a variety of exciting and dynamic engagements as a claims specialist.
- Providing advice on factors that influence claims performance and customer experience and recommending ways to improve outcomes.
- Implementing improvements to enhance all aspects of the claims process.
- Evaluating legislative and regulatory compliance, addressing non-compliance issues, and suggesting necessary corrective measures.
- Designing and developing innovative solutions that assist schemes, insurers, and employers in achieving superior claim outcomes. This includes devising new processes, tools, and strategies to streamline and bolster claims management efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advising on claims requirements for technology solutions.
- Proven expertise in workers' compensation claims management.
- In-depth knowledge of the NSW workers compensation legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated skills in developing effective solutions within a claims management environment.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on improving customer experiences.
- Familiarity with conducting Pre-Injury Average Weekly Earnings (PIAWE) calculations.
- Insight into factors impacting insurer / scheme performance and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in evaluating legislative and regulatory compliance, and crafting initiatives to augment compliance.
- A keen interest in devising solutions that support schemes, insurers, and employers deliver better claim outcomes.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as law, business, or health, is desirable but not mandatory.
