Senior Legal Counsel

This role will provide expert legal and regulatory advice to ensure compliance with Australian gambling laws. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of AML/CTF compliance, privacy laws (Privacy Act 1988), and experience in the gambling, sports betting, or highly regulated industries.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal and regulatory advice to ensure compliance with Australian gambling laws.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee AML/CTF compliance, including customer due diligence (CDD), know-your-customer (KYC) processes, and suspicious matter reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes regulatory projects and deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of Australian gambling regulations and AML/CTF compliance.
  • Experience in the gambling, sports betting, or highly regulated industries preferred.
