As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with challenging behaviours to improve their quality of life and develop new skills.

About the Role
  • Assist NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Complete thorough assessments to understand behaviour triggers, identify risks, and consider specific strategies to improve behaviour outcomes.
  • Develop Behaviour Support Plans and provide support to families and/or carers for consistent implementation.

This role requires a strong background in either the disability or mental health sector. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding service to NDIS participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload with ongoing monitoring, support, and make adjustments where required.
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework.
  • Ensure individual plans reflect NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
  • Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives.
