Airport Services Supervisor Job Description

  • This role involves coordinating airport services operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of customer service.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing operational problems, identifying solutions, and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to customers.
  • In addition to managing airport services operations, the supervisor will also oversee staff performance reviews, provide coaching and guidance to team members, and ensure that all agents working for or on behalf of the company are well-motivated and groomed.
  • The role also involves conducting audits to ensure adherence to company standards, investigating queries and complaints, and undertaking various administrative functions as directed.
  • The supervisor will play a key role in emergency response planning and coordination.
  • They will work closely with stakeholders and service partners to ensure seamless service delivery to high standards.
  • Apart from supervising airport services operations, the successful candidate will also take part in projects and champion areas of the operation such as check-in, boarding, connections, arrivals, CDS etc.
  • Additional duties may include invoice verification, liaison with suppliers, inspections, and audits.
  • To excel in this role, you should possess significant experience in the airline industry or airport ground handling, with proven ability to lead teams.
  • Previous experience in a premium lounge environment, hospitality, or F&B industry would be advantageous.
  • You must have completed relevant professional training courses in Passenger Services and Ground Operations.
  • Familiarity with airline reservations, fares, and ticketing systems, as well as Departure Control System (DCS), is required.
  • Ramp handling and aircraft servicing knowledge is beneficial.
  • Advanced customer service skills, good interpersonal communication, and cross-cultural communication skills are essential.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email, would be an asset.
  • A high school level of education or equivalent is necessary.
