We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Board of Directors as a Director, Victorian Traditional Owner Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and driving our mission to advance the economic, social, and cultural interests of Traditional Owner groups.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization's investment strategy and financial management
- Work collaboratively with the Board and management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the organization's mission and goals
- Engage with Traditional Owner groups and stakeholders to build relationships and advance the organization's objectives
- Contribute to the development of the organization's annual budget and financial plans
- Monitor and report on the organization's financial performance and risk management
- Proven experience in policy development and implementation related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander economic development and engagement
- Strong financial skills and knowledge, including investment concepts, financial modeling, and performance monitoring
- Ability to communicate effectively with Traditional Owner groups and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
