Job Title: Support Worker

At our organisation, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team to support a group of individuals. The ideal candidate will be able to enhance the lives of those we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with minimal personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing activities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Helping individuals to gain more independence in their daily lives;
  • Enhancing the lives of those we support by teaching them new life skills;
  • Assisting with minimal personal care;
  • Encouraging individuals to access their local communities, socialise and do activities;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be out with the individuals we support in local bars and pubs or engage in activities such as playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema;
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice;
  • Support individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma;
  • Hold a full UK driving license;
  • Be resilient, flexible and composed in approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full UK driving license required;
  • Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice;
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma;
  • Ability to be resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
