About the Role

As a dedicated supporter, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and guidance to children and young people residing in Residential Out-of-Home Care at our rural properties. Our focus is on delivering a technology-reduced model of care that prioritizes connection and engagement.

  • You will form meaningful relationships with our young people, helping them achieve their social, educational, cultural, and emotional goals by providing tailored support and encouragement.
  • You will oversee their daily life skills development, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, completing homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, participating in sports, and engaging in schooling.
Daily tasks
  • Developing comprehensive support plans, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Conducting regular assessments to monitor the developmental progress of our young people and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining open communication with stakeholders to share information, contribute to planning, and ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Creating personalized activity plans and facilitating community engagement opportunities for each young person to promote their growth and development.
  • Providing safe and supportive environments using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
