About the RoleThe Investigations Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that investigations are conducted thoroughly and efficiently, adhering to organisational policies and procedures. You will be responsible for conducting investigations into health service complaints against health services and health practitioners in Queensland.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a strong understanding of investigation methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and efficient investigations: Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure timely completion within 12 months.
- Apply best practice investigation planning methodologies: Identify and source all relevant evidence, documenting it appropriately according to organisational policy.
- Prepare and submit high-quality briefs-of-evidence and investigation reports: With recommendations for the prosecution of health service providers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: Gather information that supports the investigations process and enhances service delivery.
- Applications remain current for up to 12 months: May be considered for other vacancies with similar responsibilities.
- Candidates must undergo criminal history checks: In accordance with section 52 of the Public Sector Act.
- Current and previous public sector employees: Are required to disclose any history of serious disciplinary action as per section 71 of the Public Sector Act.
- All employees must disclose any interests: That may conflict with their duties in accordance with section 182 of the Public Sector Act.
