Quality and Compliance Role Overview:

A Quality & Compliance Specialist is required to lead our quality agenda across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring consistently high standards for customers.

This role will play a crucial part in enhancing customer trust, reducing cost-of-poor-quality, and ensuring operational resilience across our warehousing, production, and distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire the ANZ Quality Team, setting clear objectives and building future capability.
  • Shape and execute strategies to elevate quality assurance, resolve claims effectively, and streamline business processes.
  • Champion ISO 9001 QMS and FSC standards, ensuring full compliance and retention of external certifications.
  • Establish robust review processes, stakeholder engagement forums, and quality scorecards to track performance trends.
  • Own the customer claims and supplier quality resolution process, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective outcomes.
  • Partner with key customers and suppliers to strengthen relationships, address issues, and co-develop improvement strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on quality for warehousing, production, and product issues across the DC network.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training programs, and audit frameworks to embed best practice.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement and Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related Business discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in quality management, ideally within manufacturing and/or regional supply chains.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, FSC systems, CTQ performance parameters, and auditing.
  • Experience with claims and inventory systems, and proven ability to optimise cross-functional processes.
  • Influential stakeholder manager with the ability to engage across boundaries and build trusted partnerships.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and accountable, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
  • Competent with spreadsheets, databases, and technical product information systems.
