Senior Claims Professional

This is a Claims Specialist position in our specialty claims portfolio. You will be responsible for managing complex and challenging claims, collaborating with stakeholders to drive value and achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Proactively manage claims according to our claim handling principles.
- Using technical skills, manage complex and challenging claims within authority level and specialization.
- Collaborate with product managers and practice leaders on large and complex losses to achieve optimum file outcome.
- Manage expenses through thoughtful expense management and claims best practice.
- Participate in quality review process.
- Assist underwriters with policy review and drafting; participate in external marketing activities.
- Coordinate and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure highest level of customer service.
- Produce internal reporting in support of best practice and reserving guidelines.
- Effectively manage, track and report on portfolio performance.
You will work closely with your manager, fellow handlers, practice leaders and underwriters to achieve best possible outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications- Solid direct (specialty) claims experience or other commercial insurance lines.
- Sound knowledge of key product lines and regulatory environment.
- Up-to-date appreciation of technical requirements of the role.
- Proven ability in identifying and analyzing problems, creating good solutions.
- First-class report writing skills; ability to develop and present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Excellent communication skills; confident presenter to internal/external audiences.
- Excellent diligence and meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
- Able to organize self, including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills.
Desirable skills include experience in financial services environment, demonstrable evidence of interpreting and manipulating data clearly and accurately, and resilient adaptable style.
