About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sydney Light Rail Operations Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent night shift position, from 10pm – 6am.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting the maintenance and cleaning of all equipment as specified in Alstom's maintenance procedures, and in accordance with specified company quality and health and safety procedures.

  • Maintaining Track Infrastructure and cleaning in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Litter picking and drain cleaning.
  • Cleaning of drains, depot floors and track/track slab in pedestrianised zones.
  • Performing the role of a Sydney Light Rail Protection Officer (SLR PO).
  • Reporting daily, weekly on activities, problems found and measures taken.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the rail industry.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Be a team player, with a can-do attitude.
  • Be able to commit to and thrive working on permanent night shifts.
  • Experience in Track/Infrastructure, Maintenance or Cleaning would be preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in training and development (Certificate II Rail Infrastructure).
  • MR or HR Truck Licence.
