Job Overview

We are seeking Casual Rail Welders for Rail Operations in Sydney NSW. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of rail-specific duties, including ensuring welding meets required standards, determining the method and sequence of welding operations, and preparing rail for repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure welding duties meet required standards
  • Determine the method and sequence of welding operations
  • Prepare rail for repair and maintenance
  • Complete required documentation, such as welding and adjustment returns
About You
  • You will be able to work unsupervised and within a team
  • You should have experience working in the rail construction industry
  • You will hold a current Thermit Welding Certificate or equivalent
  • You will also hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
  • You will possess a valid Drivers Licence Class 'C' or 'HR'
  • You will be able to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • You will also hold a current Sydney Trains CON number
Salary and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $80,000 - $100,000 based on national averages for rail welders in Sydney NSW.
