The department manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice in Victoria's road safety partnership.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead compliance functions for Road Safety Camera Program projects. This role will oversee the delivery of projects involving new road safety camera technology/functionality, ensure compliance with technical standards, and manage the assessment and approval processes for new road safety camera systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading risk management and quality control initiatives for regulated systems, ensuring alignment with department standards and community expectations.
  • Coordinating the resolution of compliance and operational issues across the initiatives being implemented.
  • Providing expert advice to senior executives, policy makers, and project stakeholders on system functionality, regulatory matters, and operational risk.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience leading compliance programs or regulatory operations within a technical or road safety enforcement setting.
  • Proven project management experience, including successful delivery of infrastructure, regulatory, or ICT projects in government or regulated industries.
  • A strong understanding of legislative and technical standards, with experience interpreting and applying them in operational environments.
