Responsibilities:
- Managing claims for injured workers, ensuring reimbursement and cost coverage of medical expenses to aid their recovery journey
- Reviewing and approving requests from injured workers for medical/surgical treatment
- Performing administrative tasks such as assessing invoices, entering contact notes, drafting letters relating to claim decisions etc
- Making high-volume client and customer calls regarding claims updates and customer service
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including injured workers, employers, healthcare providers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles
- Tertiary study in Business, Allied Health/Health Science, Psychology or similar disciplines
- Strong telephone-based customer service skills and formal written communication, ideally in high-call environments
- The ability to demonstrate resilience and navigate challenging situations
- Time management and organisational skills to manage timeframes effectively
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Administrative skills to work concurrently across multiple technology platforms
- A strong sense of self, team and collaboration
