Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team at The Standard Hotel in Melbourne.

About the Role

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This includes preparing the floor and stations for service, serving food and drinks, and building excellent relations with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Follow hotel operating procedures and represent The Standard to the expected level of service.
  • Be on the floor, in full uniform, well-groomed, and ready for service at the start of your shift.
  • Prepare the floor and stations for service and follow established checklists and directions from the Manager on duty.
  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of all applicable food and beverage menus.
  • Be aware of any specials on the menu and daily briefing points.
  • Serve food and drinks consistently following The Standard's 'Order of Service'.
  • Build excellent relations with guests and welcome them in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Attend all training sessions and team meetings as required.
  • Follow company cash handling procedures and be responsible for all payments taken by yourself.
  • Carry out tasks assigned to you as directed by the management team.
  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and Hotel liquor licensing guidelines and management policies.
  • Maintain currency of RSA certification, amendments, and updates and adhere to RSA principles.
  • Ensure all OH&S requirements are adhered to and report any health or safety hazards or incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Experience with POS systems.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
  • Great, energetic work ethic and a vision to build a fantastic team environment.
