Proactive Health and Safety Specialist

The Health and Safety Manager role is responsible for implementing a proactive approach to health and safety across the organization.
This is an opportunity to work in a large retailer with a global presence, supporting best practice across diverse risk areas while empowering employees and franchisees across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update health and safety policies, procedures, resources, and tools as required.
- Communicate health and safety information across the organization, including maintaining the health and safety intranet page.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on health and safety performance to identify improvements and facilitate regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and prepare reports for management where required.
- Support health and safety operational activities, including contributing to committees, consulting with stakeholders, and conducting risk assessments.
- Manage incident and hazard reporting, recording, and investigating, leading to corrective action.
- Model safe work behaviors.
Applicants should have at least two years' experience in a medium to large organization, preferably in health and safety policy development and implementation. A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and risk management principles is essential.
Excellent communication skills, stakeholder relationship management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required.
