Workplace Relations Consultant

The Workplace Relations Consultant will lead the delivery, performance, and growth of our Workplace Relations team, including the Workplace Relations Consulting and Business Advice functions.

This role is responsible for overseeing team operations, service quality, and performance reporting. The Consultant will also be primarily responsible for the delivery of workplace relations and consulting services, providing advice and representation to clients on a fee-for-service basis.

The Consultant will ensure ongoing education and up-to-date knowledge of industrial relations legislation and case law changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in law or human resources management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments, and Modern Awards
  • Significant experience in the delivery of consulting services on a fee-paying basis
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong knowledge and experience interpreting industrial instruments (enterprise agreements and awards), HR policies and procedures, Employment Contracts, Disciplinary and Termination, Unfair Dismissals and General Protection Claims, Long-term illness/absences, Workplace Investigations, Payroll Audits
  • Demonstrated experience in representation in the Fair Work Commission and South Australian Employment Tribunal
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical advice and tailored solutions to team members and clients on a range of employment matters
