Academic Sessional Position

We are seeking experienced academics to join our team as Sessional Academics in the School of Law & Business. As a Sessional Academic, you will have the opportunity to teach and contribute to the development of our students, while also being part of a dynamic and supportive academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct tutorials, lectures, and workshops to the highest standard, preparing lesson plans and facilitating engaging discussions.
- Translate real-world professional experience into student learning and teaching.
- Consult with students on readings, topics, and assessments.
- Assist with assessment administration, including marking, results, and feedback.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.
- Identify students at risk.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and have a strong commitment to academic excellence. To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A PhD or DBA qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Industry or professional experience, which will be highly regarded.
- Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level, with a sound understanding of pedagogical and adult learning principles.
- Experience translating industry practice into teaching Masters courses in the relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes, including online delivery.
- Demonstrated ability in developing resources, curriculum documents, and assessment tasks.
- Ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to assess priorities, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
