About the Role:

As a Customer Development Manager, you will report to a Channel Manager and work closely alongside Branch Managers to build successful business relationships with target customers within your territory.

Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional sales and service experiences for our trade customers, showcasing your passion for all things automotive and utilizing your negotiation skills to proactively find solutions to customer problems.

You will be responsible for the sales and gross margin performance of your territory, attending sales meetings, trade shows, and training sessions, and developing new business through account management and business development.

Duties Include:
  • Solving customer problems through consultation, relationship building, and understanding customer needs
  • Responsibility for sales and gross margin performance of your territory
  • Attending and participating in sales meetings, trade shows, and training sessions
  • Achieving sales budgets
  • Developing new business (business development and account management)
  • Fostering and driving a culture of safety by putting safety first and ensuring everyone returns home safely
Key Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and negotiating skills, a solutions-focused approach, and experience in account management or business development.

Previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred, as well as the ability to liaise and build relationships with customers and company stakeholders.

A valid Australian driver's licence is also required, along with the ability to drive safely and responsibly.
