Procurement Business Partner

About the Role
The Procurement Business Partner will play a key role in ensuring the principles of value for money, transparency, and accountability are maintained across all procurement and contract activities. This involves leading and facilitating end-to-end procurement processes in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders to optimize contractual outcomes, supplier relationships, and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to align with changing business requirements, adopting best practice procurement processes to manage and mitigate risk while ensuring efficient internal purchasing principles are implemented across the business.
- Execute contracts, focusing on strategic resourcing, agreeing comprehensive contractual terms and conditions, and acting as the contracts subject matter expert to ensure compliance with NSW and other relevant procurement legislation, policy, and guidelines.
- Partner with staff from across the organization to provide high-level advice and guidance, building expertise in procurement, providing governance, and improving procurement practice and outcomes.
- Report on all procurement-related activities, including external and internal reporting, spend analysis, PO commitments, achievement of contract KPIs, and continuous improvements to process.
- Facilitate training across the business in procurement.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, contract management, risk, or legal, or 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of NSW Government Procurement processes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and management of contracts and procurement practices across a range of engagements and ensuring compliance of probity processes.
- Proven ability in managing risk and effectively managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay process in a government or complex organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the procurement lifecycle from planning to completion to achieve business objectives, as well as an ability to influence others with sound argument.
- Proven ability to partner with staff from across the organization providing high-level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance, and improve procurement practice and outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience reporting on all procurement-related activities, including external and internal reporting, spend analysis, PO commitments, achievement of contract KPIs, and continuous improvements to process.
- Ability to facilitate training across the business in procurement.
