About The Role

This role involves forming genuine connections with youth through mentorship and guidance. You will develop and implement engaging programs that promote personal growth, offer emotional support and a listening ear to help young individuals navigate challenges, collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, leverage your personal experience to inspire and connect with young people, and provide support and encouragement to children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth.
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young individuals navigate challenges.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Leverage your personal experience to inspire and connect with young people.
  • Support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections.

About You
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent qualification, or working towards.
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Availability for rotating roster including weekends & sleepover shifts.
