Motor Trade or Property Mid-Market Trading Underwriter Opportunity

This is a stimulating career opportunity to work with a leading insurance company in the UK.

We are seeking either a Motor Trade or P&C Trading Mid-Market Underwriter who wants to advance their career and join our team in London.

This role could involve writing new business or existing business, or both.

You will be expected to comprehend and implement strategy as an active mobile underwriter, including face-to-face broker visits.

There will also be opportunities to work towards underwriting licence levels appropriate to your job grade.

The company offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a 50/50 home-office split.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of Motor Trade or Property & Casualty Underwriting
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
  • Previous analysis of risks and the ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
