Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient management of Australia's airspace.
About the Role
- You will provide specialist engineering expertise for system management and projects in support of our National Technical Monitoring System (SCADA system) and other high reliability, safety critical systems and technologies.
- Maintain system performance and reliability in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Regulation 171.
- Support field maintenance staff in deploying system changes and resolving system issues.
- Liaise closely with stakeholders across the organisation and externally, including maintenance centres, asset managers, project managers, safety specialists, system users, support contractors and suppliers.
The Team
- You will be part of a high performing team and work closely with experienced engineers to meet business objectives.
- Contribute to ongoing training, coaching and mentoring of technical and engineering staff.
Requirements
- An Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Information Technology or similar engineering degree, or certified equivalent international qualification, that provides eligibility for registration as a professional engineer under applicable state or territory legislation.
- PLC, SCADA RTU/Telemetry, IT/OT networking systems and protocols experience (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP) is essential.
- Demonstrated experience integrating legacy systems.
- Project Management, leading technical projects and vendor performance management experience would be desirable.
- Experience in a highly regulated working environment desirable.
