Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Aerospace Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Mechanical Engineer - Aerospace Systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering services to certify cargo load items for air transportation on fixed wing and rotary-wing transport aircraft.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Design Development: Develop designs that are compliant with regulations and standards;">
  • Engineering Analysis: Conduct engineering analysis including structural integrity, structural joints, restraint, shock and vibration;">
  • Verification and Validation: Conduct Verification & Validation activities including participation in and development of artefacts for aerial delivery trial activities;">
  • Aerial Delivery Requirements: Provide advice on aerial delivery requirements;">
  • Task Planning: Conduct task planning and updates;">
  • Communication: Conduct communication with external stakeholders;">
  • Technical Artefacts Review: Conduct review of technical artefacts;">
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing continuous training and system improvements.">

The successful candidate will possess:

  • ">
  • Tertiary-level Engineering Qualifications: Tertiary-level qualifications in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering;">
  • Security Clearance: Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher);">
  • Australian Citizenship: Be an Australian Citizen;">
  • Defence Experience: 0-2 years' experience in applying skills in a technical environment – preferably Defence;">
