About the Role

The Disability Support Worker is a key position in assisting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

This role plays a vital part in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and build meaningful connections with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in developing life skills for household duties and yard/home maintenance;
  • Transport clients to appointments and shopping trips, ensuring safe and reliable transportation services;
  • Support clients in building self-confidence and self-esteem through tailored care and assistance;
  • Promote independence and well-being by providing personal care and manual handling assistance, including showering and bowel care;
  • Administer medication (if qualified) and handle administrative tasks, such as daily journal reporting;
  • Work within the NDIS guidelines and escalate relevant information to Team Leaders;
Requirements

We seek enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who possess strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience in Personal Care is preferred but not essential. Applicants must hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence and undergo a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
