We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our kitchen team as a trainee chef. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their culinary career and gain valuable experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

About the Role

As a Trainee Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of dishes under the supervision of experienced chefs. You will work at one of our host venues, handling large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities include operating kitchen equipment, learning different knife and cooking techniques, and maintaining and storing kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of dishes under the supervision of experienced chefs.
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, and utensils.
  • Learn different knife and cooking techniques to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain and store kitchen equipment and utensils in a clean and organized manner.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be an eager and motivated individual with a passion for food, good communication skills, and the ability to seek out opportunities to learn and show initiative. Public speaking is also essential, as you will need to introduce dishes to customers and finish the dish tableside.
