Job Summary

We are seeking a senior leader to head our multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-impact, technology-driven maintenance solutions at our Port Botany site.

About the Role

  • Oversee and manage maintenance labor and contractor activities in accordance with workplace policies, operational needs, and long-term asset strategies.
  • Drive team performance through regular meetings, clear goal setting, and structured performance reviews.
  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture within the department.
  • Develop lifecycle cost models and strategic plans for equipment maintenance, replacement, and resource optimization.
  • Supervise resource allocation and expenditure according to established processes and budgetary guidelines.
  • Foster a culture of reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement using data-driven approaches.
  • Provide leadership on Industrial Relations matters, ensuring effective communication, compliance with agreements, and a collaborative work environment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in asset maintenance, industrial engineering, or terminal operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SCADA systems, PLCs, and handling equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing skilled, blue-collar teams in demanding and regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and experience in port or terminal engineering operations.
  • Lean, Six Sigma training or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
