About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne - Flinders Street. As a key member of our commercial and operational teams, you will play a vital role in implementing our marketing strategy and promoting our hotel's unique offerings to target audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Marketing Plans: Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive bookings, and enhance customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with commercial and operational teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and marketing materials for specific events.
  • Communicate with Target Markets: Effectively communicate the amenities and benefits of our hotel to target markets, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage offerings, meetings, and events.
  • Manage Media and Marketing Partnerships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with local media, third-party partners, and official bodies to promote our hotel's brand and offerings.
  • Manage Marketing Contact Database: Maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to our target audiences.
Requirements
  • Previous Marketing Experience: Proven experience in a similar marketing role, with a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of IT programs essential for marketing, such as InDesign.
  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Financial Management: Ability to build and manage a yearly budget.
  • Hotel or Leisure Sector Experience: Previous experience in the hotel or leisure sector is highly desirable.
